Statement

Date: Feb. 3, 2015
Location: Washington, DC

Today, Republican Study Committee Chairman Bill Flores (R-Texas) released the following statement on the House's vote to repeal ObamaCare, which passed 239-186.

"By voting to repeal ObamaCare, the new Congress today upheld its commitment to American taxpayers and families who are struggling under the president's disastrous health care law. Republican Study Committee Members worked hard to ensure we would have an early vote on full repeal, because rolling back ObamaCare is one of the most important and immediate things we can do to help hardworking Americans. The fact is ObamaCare's failure has resulted in millions of people losing their health insurance plans and doctors, while health care costs continue to climb."

On January 15th, 74 Republican Study Committee (RSC) members signed a letter to House leadership calling for an early vote on full repeal of ObamaCare. Chairman Flores and RSC member Rep. Bradley Byrne (R-AL) penned a joint op-ed on Townhall.com on the need to repeal the president's health care legislation.
